Hillary for America released a powerful digital video featuring the moving story of an Arizona Gold Star family whose son, U.S. Army Pvt. Damián López Rodriguez, was killed in Iraq. Damián was brought to the United States from Mexico as an undocumented child and was posthumously granted American citizenship. His service and sacrifice undercut Donald Trump’s hateful and inaccurate representation of America’s Latino and immigrant communities. As Damián’s mom says, Trump’s depiction of immigrants is “a lie.” Damián wasn’t a “criminal,” a “murderer,” or a “rapist”– he was an American hero.
